Community Visioning Workshop (Newlinville Village)
You are invited to come share your ideas and help shape the future of Newlinville Village by participating in the first ever 'Community Visioning Workshop' on Wednesday, September 30 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM.
The workshop will be held at Extra Mile Auto (330 Strode Avenue). Weather permitting, the workshop will be outside! No need to RSVP. (Social Distancing and face masks are required!)
The workshop will be the next step in the planning process to develop a 'Village Master Plan' for the Newlinville section of East Fallowfield Township. Please make plans to attend the meeting. We know the success of Newlinville Village will hinge on the participation of residents, businesses, visitors and other stakeholders.
Why are we developing a 'Village Master Plan' for Newlinville?
In August 2019, East Fallowfield Township received a $21,266 Vision Partnership Program grant from the Chester County Planning Commission to develop a Village Master Plan for the Newlinville section of the Township. (The neighborhood runs along a stretch of Rt. 82/Doe Run Road and includes Jane Street and portions of Newlinville Road).
The Village Master Plan for Newlinville is consistent with the East Fallowfield Township Comprehensive Plan which proposes a “Village Style Development” for this section of East Fallowfield Township. The Plan is intended to achieve a high-quality walkable neighborhood for Newlinville. The Village Master plan will include a concept plan for streetscape improvements to make the area more attractive, include recommendations for public improvement needs and recommendations for zoning amendments.
