East Fallowfield Township's 2025 Proposed Budget Now Available for Public Inspection
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the proposed 2025 Township Budget for the Township of East Fallowfield, Chester County PA, is available for public inspection as of November 13, 2024 at the Township building located at 2264 Strasburg Road, PA, during regular business hours, and the township website at www.eastfallowfield.org.
The proposed 2025 Township budget will be considered for adoption at the Tuesday, December 10, 2024 Board of Supervisors meeting to be held at 6:30 pm at the Township Building, located at 2264 Strasburg Rd., East Fallowfield, PA, and, in any event, shall be adopted at a public meeting no later than December 31, 2024.
The proposed 2025 budget proposes no new taxes or fee increases which is due to fiscal restraint and sound financial practices. This will be the seventh year without a tax increase in the General Fund! The budgeted Real Property Tax Rate for 2024 is 2.00 mills for general purposes and a 1.75 mill for Fire/EMS on each dollar assessed valuation.
The 2025 General Fund Budget anticipates receiving $3,209,768 in REVENUES AND $4,083,970 IN EXPENDITURES. While this appears to be an unbalanced balance, it is projecting expending more than $1 million in funds from the Township's Capital Fund to pay for extensive capital improvements in the Township including major road resurfacing, replacement of a culvert on Saw Mill Road and replacement of the collapsed bridge on Mortonville Road. The Township will use monies accrued over the last several years as well as extensive grant funding that has been secured to pay for the capital improvements.
The average homeowner with a residential assessed value of $132,084 pays approximately $495.32 for their township real estate taxes and $450 annual fee for trash collection/disposal, which amounts to a total of $945.32. (Note: $132,084 is not the market price of your home, it is the average assessed value of your home.) Based upon your individual real estate assessment, you may be paying more or less than $495.32 for your township real estate tax).
If you wish to attend the December 10, 2024 meeting and are a person with a disability, please contact the Township office (610-384-7144) to discuss how the Township can best accommodate your needs.
