East Fallowfield Township Wants You! Volunteer to Serve on a Township Board or Commission

Volunteer today to serve on one of our boards and commissions. Below are the Current Citizen Board Vacancies as of January 4, 2024:
 
 
Planning Commission  1 vacancy  (The Planning Commission is responsible for reviewing subdivision and land developments, and serves in an advisory capacity to the Board of Supervisors)
 
Historical Commission: 2 vacancies (encourage the preservation of historic settings, buildings and landscapes through identification, documentation and recognition of all historic places and sites).
 
Environmental Advisory Committee (EAC): 1 vacancy (The role of the EAC is to advise the Township Board of Supervisors on matters dealing with protection, conservation, management and use of natural resources)

Trash & Recycling Container Removal - Week of January 2, 2024

Update: WASTE MANAGEMENT is still in the process of removing the old trash carts (with trash inside) and recycling carts (from the East Side of the township) with recyclables inside. They will only make one pass on your street to remove your old trash and recycling containers.

The Township expects collection of the old trash and recycling containers could take several more days. Please leave them curbside until they are removed!

Important-- Do NOT use your new replacement containers until A.J. Blosenski begins their first collection on Saturday, January 6, 2024! Bulk Trash and Recycling container pick-up for WEST SIDE is this Saturday Janaury 6, 2024.

UPDATE: New Recycling Containers Still Being Delivered This Week! (posted 12/27/2023)

We have been notified by our distributor that there are 101 homes that have still not received a replacement recycling container. If you have not yet received your new recycling container, it should arrive at your home this week!
 
We also wanted to point out that Recycling collection in East Fallowfield Township is still UNLIMITED. Should your recycling not fit in your 95-gallon Township-provided container, you can use your own container clearly labeled as 'Recycling,' or place flattened cardboard that will not fit inside the recycling container next to your recycling container.
 
Please note that only one new replacement bin will be provided to each home, however, if you feel you need a second recycling container, we ask that you wait until January to request a second recycling container. Note: The Township has a limited supply of extra (pre-owned) recycling containers. These recycling containers are not new; however they are functional and in good condition.

Christmas Tree Collection Begins Tuesday, January 2

 CHRISTMAS TREE COLLECTION BEGINS JANUARY 2
 
Christmas Tree Collection is Tuesday, January 2; Monday, January 8, and Tuesday January 16. During this time, the Township's Road Crew will sweep through the Township collecting Christmas trees placed at the curb. NOTE: depending on weather conditions and the amount of trees placed at the curb, there may be delays and collection of your tree may take up to 5 days.

Please make sure that your tree is placed out for collection by 7:00AM on the date of collection (Note: our crew will only make one pass on your street and are unable to return that week if your tree is not at the curb). Appointments are NOT necessary!
 
PLEASE MAKE SURE ALL ORNAMENTS AND LIGHTS ARE REMOVED! TREES NEED TO BE REMOVED FROM PLASTIC BAGS!

Trash and Recycling Collection Updates (posted 12/18/2023)

 East Fallowfield Township has an important update regarding the progress of our initiative to provide new replacement trash and recycling containers and remove old trash and recycling containers.

Week of December 18-22:  Every household in the Township currently receiving trash and recycling services will receive replacement 95 -gallon trash and recycling carts as part of the new program with A.J. Blosenski that begins on January 1, 2024. The new carts will be delivered directly to each address. No appointments are necessary, and you do not need to be home to receive your new trash or recycling carts. Please note that your trash and recycling carts will likely be delivered to your address on separate days during the week of December 18.

IMPORTANT: Use your existing Waste Management trash and recycling containers until December 31, 2023. *Do NOT use the new replacement trash and recycling carts until the first collection in 2024!

 

Friday, December 22, 2023-Saturday, December 23:  Waste Management collects trash from entire Township and collects recycling from the WEST side of Township. Note: Waste Management will remove your recycling carts (with recyclables inside) from the WEST side of Township. Please only use your existing Waste Management trash and recycling containers! The Township expects collection of your old recycling bins will take up to two days. Please leave them curbside until they are removed! .

Friday, December 29, 2023- Sunday, December 31:  Waste Management collects trash from entire Township. Note: Waste Management will remove the TRASH containers (with trash inside) from the entire Township. Waste Management also collects recycling from the EAST side of the Township. Note: Waste Management will remove recycling carts (with recyclables inside) from the EAST side of Township. Please only use existing Waste Management trash and recycling containers. The Township expects collection of your old trash and recycling containers could take up to a week.  Please leave them curbside until they are removed!

 

January 1, 2024: New Collection Contract with A.J. Blosenski Begins.  Note: Please begin using the new replacement trash and recycling carts during the first collection in 2024!
